The whole group of companies employs over 750, including in the USA. Of these, some 40% work in production and about 60% in administration, sales and development. In 2002, the JK Group of companies made a consolidated turnover of about 240 million Euros – the highest annual turnover since the establishment of the JK Group.
The holding includes general services and important functions for all the subsidiary companies: strategic planning, research and development and general commercial services. During the last two years, all marketing activities have been transferred to the individual companies.
JK-Sales GmbH, Windhagen, is responsible for the sale of Ergoline and Soltron sunbeds which are designed for private and professional use and distributed within Germany by authorised dealers.
In Germany – the main sales market – the sale is organised by a sales partner system consisting of a network of dealers specialised in sunbeds.
The sunbeds are sold internationally in more than 40 countries worldwide. Sales offices are established in Switzerland, France, England, Poland and the Netherlands. Local independent national representatives who normally act as exclusive importers ensure export in the remaining sales countries.
JK-Leasing GmbH & Co. KG, Norderfriedrichskoog, offers leasing independently of any banks and thus provides financing support for young entrepreneurs and start-up companies in the commercial tanning salon branch and significantly broadens the market and potential turnover.
JK-Licht GmbH, Königswinter-Ruttscheid, handles the sales of wearing and consumable products for salons and sunbeds. These chiefly cover the areas of UV lamps, sun cosmetics, hygiene products, fashion and other accessories for the commercial salon market.
JK-Global Service GmbH, Bad Honnef, has taken over the whole customer service and service area, both at home and abroad, for all the sales companies in the Group. Spare parts business is also handled by this subsidiary.
Wellsystem GmbH, Windhagen, has taken over the domestic marketing of the Hydro Jet, a device for the simulation and generation of the bio-positive effects of underwater massage.
Wellsystem International GmbH, is responsible for marketing the Hydro Jet abroad.
JK-Products GmbH, Bad Honnef, handles materials supplies, logistics and production of all products for the entire group of companies.
Walter Kratz GmbH, Windhagen, provides the Legal Department as a central service for the JK Group.
JK-Marketing GmbH, Windhagen, is responsible for all marketing activities, both at home and abroad, on behalf of all the sales companies in the group.
Securmatic Repair Center GmbH, Ratingen, is a repair and logistics center for the preparation and repair of electronic systems.
Fluid Solutions GmbH, Norderstedt, is responsible for the planning, installation and servicing of production systems with emphasis on fluid dosing systems and techniques.
